Perupetro Presents 18 Blocks at Houston Roadshow
Peru's hydrocarbons promotion agency Perupetro presented 18 blocks it is in the process of tendering to more than 19 oil companies in Houston last week, Peru's energy and mines ministry said in a statement.
Conference attendees included Hunt Oil, Occidental, Repsol YPF, Hess Corp., Global Energy Development, Houston Oil Fiel, SK Corp, Ecopetrol, Shell, Petrotech Peruana, Maple Gas, Petrobras, Anadarko, Exxon Mobil, Japan Oil, Gas and Metals, BPZ Energy, ConocoPhillips and Petron Resources.
The presentation featured studies of 10 blocks conducted by the agency as well as studies of eight blocks conducted by geological consulting firm Gustavson Associates.
Additional conference information will be available in a week, a Perupetro spokesperson told BNamericas.
The agency will travel to London for a March 20-22 presentation before presenting in Calgary between April and May, the spokesperson said.
Bidding rules for the blocks are currently available on Perupetro's website. Exploration could begin in 2008.
