DNO Clarifies Status of Well 6507/11-7

Norsk Hydro, operator for production license 263, block 6507/11 is continuing the operation of exploration well 6507/11-7. Based on information that has emerged in the press today, DNO would like to clarify the following:

An exploration well undergoes various phases. Only when all exploration targets have been reached and subsequent logging/testing has been done will it be possible to provide information as to whether or not a discovery was made in the well. The Operator has stated that it is too early to conclude on the results from the well.

Based on the above, we do not wish to comment further on this matter. Information concerning the result of the exploration well will be provided by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate when the well is concluded.
