E.ON Ruhrgas Qualifies as Operator and Wins Licenses in APA 2006
The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has announced that E.ON Ruhrgas Norge has qualified for operatorship on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
In the APA 2006 licensing round E.ON Ruhrgas was awarded interests in three licenses, in one case as operator. Working interests range from 30% to 50%, and two of the licenses are located in the Norwegian Sea and one in the Northern North Sea.
Frank Sivertsen, Managing Director of E.ON Ruhrgas Norge, said: "Qualifying as an operator in Norway is the next step in building our business in Norway. This, together with the award of attractive licenses, provides an excellent basis for an active exploration program which hopefully over time will yield discoveries of oil and gas."
