PKT has previously provided theoretical operations and technical training programs to Sakhalin Energy and this further award is a reflection of the success of the relationship to date. PKT will now be providing further training programs with a focus on practical experiential training, to ensure that some 250 Sakhalin Energy employees reach the competence standards required by the Russian Federation of Mandatory and Vocational training for Sakhalin operations.
A significant element of the award will focus on Russian sustainable growth with the participation of Russian trainers and support staff for the Sakhalin-based supply, further demonstrating PKT's commitment to bring long-term development and opportunities to Sakhalin.
The new contract has commenced, and teams from PKT will set out to build on the baseline competence levels already achieved, with the scope of work comprising initial assessment, training development and facilitation, through to final competence assessment.
Training will be delivered on the Island in the Sakhalin Technical Training Centre (STTC), jointly owned by PKT Training and the Sakhalin Fuel and Energy College, with some elements of practical training being undertaken at centers in Malaysia and the UK.
