Heavenly 2-28 Well Misses Mark

Orchard Petroleum reports that the Heavenly 2-28 well in the Forbes Project reached a total depth of 9,920 feet. Electric logs suggested only small amounts of gas in the targeted objectives of this well. As a consequence the well is being plugged and abandoned.

The Heavenly 2-28 well was targeting gas-bearing stratigraphic traps in the Forbes Formation, a prolific gas reservoir in the region.

The recently drilled South Buckeye 1-18 well will undergo testing early in the New Year to determine the flow rate of the gas discovery by this well.

The Forbes Project is located in the Sacramento Basin which is in the northern part of California, USA.

Participants in the Heavenly 2-28 well are Orchard Petroleum, Inc. (Operator) 50% and Livingstone Energy, Inc. 50%
