Doug Bell has been appointed hammer services manager for BJ Tubular Services. In his new role, Bell carries out business development, operations, quality assessment and control activities related to hammer conductor-driving services throughout the world. Most recently Bell, 50, served as area manager – Asia Pacific Region for BJ Tubular Services. Previously he served business development manager for the Middle East-Asia Pacific Region and was based in Dubai. Since joining BJ Tubular Services in 1998 he has been instrumental in generating new client relationships and supporting long-term clients in both regions.
Before joining BJ Tubular services, Bell worked as general manager of Service & Rental Operations – Far East Region for the P. T. Intraco Penta Group in Jakarta, Indonesia and was instrumental in the 1995 start-up of the company's Equipment Rental & Service Division as general manager of the new division. Bell is from Tauranga, New Zealand.
In addition, Andy Elliott, 43, has been appointed area manager – Asia Pacific Region. He is responsible for all operational, financial, business development and personnel activities throughout the region on behalf of the division. Before taking up his new post, he served as hammer services manager for BJ Tubular Services in Great Yarmouth, England. He also worked as sales and operations manager - hammer services for Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Prior to his employment by BJ Tubular Services in 2002, Elliott was employed by Premier Oilfield Services as manager of the company's base in Great Yarmouth, and as manager – Continental Europe in Holland. His 23-year oilfield services career also includes five years with Franks International, during which time he worked in West Africa as senior hammer services supervisor. He is originally from Leicester, England.
Both Bell and Elliott are based at the BJ Tubular Services region headquarters in Singapore and report to Kenny Watt, division manager of BJ Tubular Services.
