PEP requires 704km of pipes and has budgeted a maximum of 282mn pesos (US$26mn) and a minimum of 113mn pesos for the supplies, according to draft rules.
PEP has broken the tender into six lots, with length requirements ranging from 10-600km and diameter requirements from 3-16 inches. Winners must supply pipes within 60 days.
Bidding will take place under the purchase chapters of free trade agreements signed by Mexico. A bidding timetable was not released.
Burgos output hit a record 1.34Bf3/d (38Mm3/d) in July, while output at the basin is expected to reach nearly 2Bf3/d in 2011. The basin covers 50,000 sq km in the states of Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon.
