Award-winning TSMarine (Contracting) Ltd, based in Aberdeen, has achieved the ISO 9001 standard. This recognises the procedures the firm has in place to fulfil industry quality and regulatory requirements, while enhancing customer satisfaction and achieving continual improvement.
It has also passed ISO 14001, which relates to its environmental management procedures. This standard focuses on TSMarine's efforts to minimise harmful effects on the environment and recognises its attempts to continually improve performance in this area.
And a third standard, OHSAS 18001, has also been awarded after TSMarine developed an applicable occupational health and safety management system, which enables it to control its risks and improve its performance.
TSMarine has enjoyed a highly successful year to date, with contracts more than £20million won, and the firm received Young Business Award at this year's Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise, held in June.
Managing Director, Alasdair Cowie, said: "We are committed to making ongoing improvements to the services we provide to our clients in terms of the quality to ensure their satisfaction, and whilst the award of these accreditations is a fantastic achievement, it will also assist us in achieving this goal.
"Minimizing the impact we have on the environment is an important aspect of our business, as is the need to ensure a suitable occupational health and safety system is in place for our staff."
TSMarine has also expanded its remotely operated vehicle (ROV) fleet with the acquisition of two new systems from Tyneside-based manufacturer SMD Hydrovision.
The pair of work class Quantum 150shp ROV systems are capable of operating at depths of up to 3,000 meters.
"The ongoing additions we are making to our fleet illustrates our ambitious expansion work and further strengthens our commitment to offering a full range of services to the marine and subsea industries," added Mr. Cowie.
