Petrohawk Begins Exchange Offer for $775 Million Senior Notes

Petrohawk Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:HAWK) has commenced its exchange offer of $775 million aggregate principal amount of its 9 1/8 % Senior Notes due 2013 registered under the Securities Act of 1933 for all of its outstanding $775 million aggregate principal amount of its 9 1/8 % Senior Notes due 2013 issued on June 23, 2006 and July 24, 2006 pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933.

The exchange offer will expire at 5:00 p.m. EDT on November 1, 2006, unless extended.
