Confab to Supply Tubes for Pipeline Expansion
Brazilian steel tube maker TenarisConfab will supply some 632km worth of tubes to expand the capacity of Argentina's north-south gas pipeline network, Confab told Sao Paulo's Bovespa stock exchange.
Confab received the purchase orders, worth US$161mn before taxes, from Argentine national trust fund Nacion Fideicomisos.
Brazilian flat steelmaker Usiminas is due to supply the steel for the orders, Confab reported. Delivery of the tubes is scheduled for November-December 2007.
Confab is a unit of Luxembourg-based Tenaris (NYSE: TS).
