On Aug. 7, the Kassab-1 well tested gas in the Jauf reservoir at 15,750 feet. The well flowed 16.2 million standard cubic feet of gas per day at a wellhead pressure of 1,520 psi on a 44/64-inch choke.

Kassab-1 is 50 km south of Ghawar Field and 220 km southeast of Riyadh.

Abd Allah S. Al-Saif, senior vice president of Exploration and Producing, expressed his appreciation and thanks to all the teams whose hard work led to this discovery.
