Horizon North Logistics Expands Marine Fleet
Horizon North Logistics has expanded its fleet of marine assets focused on providing barging and barge camp services in the Northwest Territories. The Corporation recently acquired a 60 man barge camp and an additional 3 barges, which together with the Risco Reegan and Bert Long tugs previously owned by Horizon, were transported from Vancouver to Tuktoyaktuk in August. One of the tugs has been deployed to work on the refurbishment of the Kulluk offshore drilling vessel.
With these acquisitions, Horizon has expanded its capacity to better
serve its customers and to capitalize on the significant business
opportunities related to oil and gas development and the proposed Mackenzie
Gas Project in Canada's northern regions.
