Stallion Enters Offshore Accommodations Market

Stallion Oilfield Services Ltd. said that it has completed the acquisition of Abbeville Offshore Quarters, Inc. The purchase marks Stallion's entry into the global offshore accommodations market.

AOQ, based in Abbeville, La., provides workforce accommodations to the worldwide offshore oil and gas industry. With more than 275 rental units in inventory, AOQ custom-designs, manufactures, and leases a variety of accommodations--from multi-story and modular living quarters to electrical buildings, recreational rooms, and galleys. AOQ also delivers U.S. Coast Guard-approved accommodations on floating platforms and vessels including FPSOs, flotels, semi-submersibles, and other drilling and production projects.

"The AOQ purchase takes Stallion into a new arena, the worldwide offshore accommodations industry," remarked Craig Johnson, Stallion's CEO. "We are very excited and could not have found a better partner for our initial foray into this market. For over 39 years, Abbeville Offshore Quarters has been the leader in providing comfort and safety in workforce accommodations in the Gulf of Mexico and other offshore environments. We believe that this partnering positions the Company to take advantage of the growing deepwater production activities in the GOM and other international offshore markets. With two manufacturing facilities in Louisiana, one located in Abbeville and the other at the Port of Vermilion, AOQ fabricates steel and fiberglass buildings of virtually any size to support offshore drilling and production projects around the world."

The experienced management team led by Tommy Putnam will continue in place. "Abbeville shares Stallion's strong commitment to delivering superior customer service," said Putnam, President of AOQ. "Our employees are very excited about joining the Stallion team. We believe our partnership with Stallion will provide significant capital to fund further growth in the demanding offshore accommodations market."
