Roc Reports Dry Hole Offshore Mauritania

Roc Oil Co. Limited said that the Colin-1 exploration well in PSC Area A offshore Mauritania has been drilled to a total depth of 2,322 meters below rotary table without encountering significant hydrocarbons.
At 11 p.m. local time on Monday, wireline logging was continuing prior to the well being plugged and abandoned. As a result, the Atwood Hunter drill rig will relocate to drill the Dana-operated exploration well Flamant-1 (Block 8).
The Colin-1 well was drilled in a water depth of 168 meters approximately 60 kilometers south of the Chinguetti Oil Field.
Participating interests in Woodside-operated PSC-A include Woodside (53.846%), Hardman (24.3%), BG Group (13.084%), Roc (4.155%), and Fusion (4.615%). Partipating interests in the Dana-operated Block 8 include Hardman (18%), Roc (2%), Dana (24%), Wintershall AG (25%), and Gaz de France UK B.V. (31%).
