ANH to Publish Niscota Block Qualifiers August 3rd

Colombia's hydrocarbons regulator ANH reported it will release a list of qualifiers for the US$50mn Niscota hydrocarbons block work program on August 3.

Groups that submitted documents to qualify are: UK major BP (NYSE: BP); Colombia's state oil company Ecopetrol; Colombian oil firm Hocol; Russia's Lukoil; Spanish major Repsol YPF (NYSE: REP); UK oil company Perenco; Argentina's Pluspetrol; Canadian firm Talisman Energy (NYSE: TLM); and Tempa.

Niscota is in the Piedemonte area in Casanare department and potential reserves could be as much as 500 million barrels.

According to the latest timetable, ANH will open a data room along with access to 3D seismic information from August 23-September 5. ANH will receive and open bids on September 12 and contract signing is slated for September 18.
