Changes Underline Business Development Focus at CHC
Helicopter services provider CHC has established a new-look business development and marketing team in Europe designed to support the existing customer base and grow its key markets.
It has appointed two new Heads of Business Development and Marketing to focus on specific areas of commercial activity.
David Rae, based at CHC Europe's headquarters in Aberdeen, has been appointed as Head of Business Development and Marketing for search and rescue (SAR), military support and emergency medical services work within Europe.
Norway-based Gro Helland has assumed the same position with responsibility for the European oil and gas sector, with support from a sales and marketing team in Aberdeen.
CHC Europe Managing Director Keith Mullett said:
"Having recently won the UK civilian search and rescue contract and had a similar contract in Ireland renewed, we now have a formidable presence in SAR and we aim to use that as a springboard to reach new opportunities in government and medical support markets.
"At the same time, our oil and gas business remains very strong with demand for new aircraft technology and increased flight hours across all our North Sea business.
"These changes mean we are targeting increased and dedicated resources at very important but separate market segments."
David was previously Sales and Marketing Manager in Aberdeen, while Gro was a Business Unit Leader in Norway.
Meanwhile, Bob Milburn has been appointed as Head of Safety and Quality for CHC Europe, succeeding Thorbjorn Amundsen.
