PA Resources Completes Didon Platform Offshore Tunisia
PA Resources has completed the offshore installation of the entire platform including the main deck and flare boom in the Didon field offshore Tunisia. Subsequently, the company will shortly start to drill the first production well, Didon 5.
As reported earlier, the company previously completed the jacket installation and the mounting of the first of two decks, the cellar deck. Since then the first deck has been secured to the jacket and installation of three conductor pipes have been completed. The conductors are installed along the jacket and into the soil and will become the guides to the platform wells to be drilled into the Didon reservoir. Further the installation of the main deck and the flare boom has successfully been completed.
Work is now ongoing to hook-up the two decks and start the commissioning of all systems on board the platform.
Installation of the flow lines to the existing wells export line and a new mooring system for the Didon FPSO will follow thereafter.
By achieving this important milestone, preparations are now ongoing to move the Ocean Spur jackup from Elyssa to the Didon field in order to start the drilling operations for the first new production well, Didon 5. The well is expected to be spud within the first week of July.
PA Resources AB is currently producing in the
order of 10000bbls/day from both wells on the
Didon field and expects to achieve an average
