Eastern Drilling Exercises Option for 2nd Semisub
Eastern Drilling
Eastern Drilling has declared its option to construct one semisubmersible drilling rig (West E-Drill II) at Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea. Delivery from the yard will be in 3rd quarter 2008.
Total project cost is calculated to US $578 million. The rig will be identical to West E-drill, the rig currently under construction at Samsung.
