Liquid Stone® cement will be used during well plugging and abandonment operations to improve job efficiency, ensure cement quality, and ultimately provide a more cost-effective solution. Liquid Stone technology will also be incorporated into future water shut-off solutions as part of an ongoing initiative by the operator. to reduce water production."
Operations are being carried out by BJ from its bases in Stavanger, Norway, and in Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth, UK. The multi-million dollar contract is a three-year term, and includes possible extensions.
A Continuing Relationship
BJ has held the CT contract with this operator in Norway for the past six years, and for two years in the UK. "We have been operating successfully in Norway’s harsh environment for some time, so this contract is a testament to the confidence that this valued client places in BJ,” said Umberto Micheli, Well Services region manager-Europe and Africa for BJ Services. “We will continue to deliver CT and pumping services for them safely and efficiently,” he added.
