BP Selling Interests in Gulf of Thailand

BP is selling 50% participating interest in Blocks 5 & 6 in the Gulf of Thailand. The interest is offered through the operator, Amoco Thailand Petroleum Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of BP.

Situated north of major producing fields in the Gulf of Thailand, this prolific basin features 6 billion BOE original reserves. The acreage is a highly prospective undrilled exploration opportunity in the Thailand Cambodia Overlapping Claims Area. The blocks are a low risk and oil prone part of 10,155 square kilometers concession located in the northern extension of the Pattani Basin with an extension west to the Khmer Basin. In addition to this attractive proposal, the sale of the Amoco Thailand Petroleum Company may also be considered.

The transaction will handled by IndigoPool.
