Ecopetrol Calls for Hato Nuevo, Guarimena Bids
Colombia's state oil company Ecopetrol began a new process to offer two small fields, Hato Nuevo in Huila department and Guarimena in Casanare department, government news service SNE reported.
This is the third bid round of discovered, undeveloped and inactive fields (CDND/I), which began March 3 and will continue through May 27.
Hato Nuevo is 525ha and Guarimena is 10,676ha. Ecopetrol hopes to award both concessions to SMEs, the statement said.
Hato Nuevo was originally tendered last year, but the contract was not awarded because the companies presenting the best economic bids did not have the necessary technical qualifications.
