GeoPressure Technology Introduces PressView for HPHT Drilling
As drilling in HPHT conditions become routine worldwide, the need for precise pressure data is greater than ever. The effective software developed by GeoPressure Technology Ltd aims to meet this challenge.
The company, which offers training and consultancy in pressure problems, has developed a suite of niche software that manages and visualizes pressure data for successful drilling in HPHT conditions. The range, designed to meet the specific needs of both geoscientists and engineers that analyze and interpret data, includes:
PressureView is pressure database and interpretation software that enables users to conduct a pressure analysis, including creation of a range of single and multi-well plots including Pressure-Depth, Mud Weight-Depth and Overpressure-Depth, with power to zoom in and out to interrogate large datasets.
Data input can come from both in-house data records or commercial compilation and data can be retrieved using the advanced search functions available in the Query Wizard.
PressureViewExpress is ideal for drillers, engineers and geologists who want data input from file and cut-and-pasting from external spreadsheets, an upper limit of 64 wells, and rapid results. The software is suitable for projects with relatively modest number of wells where data reside in spreadsheets and pressure and depth units vary.
GeoPressure Technology's software is proving to be a key solution for many of its clients which include Shell, BP, Maersk, Petro-Canada, ConocoPhillips, Ruhrgas, Talisman, Apache, Gaz de France, Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, Amerada Hess, BG and CNR International.
GeoPressure Technology Limited was founded in 1997 and has grown to offer training products to compliment consultancy in pressure problems, as well as its suite of pressure software.
The company has developed alliances with several leading companies to strengthen its links with data providers and its ability to provide superior software.
