The contract is for 9 modules to form a single complex on site providing accommodation and mess facilities for engineering personnel.
The award follows 14 previous orders over the last three years for similar facilities on the BP Grangemouth Complex but it is Ferguson's ability to furnish a blast rating that is proving to be one of the most important features of their 'Modupack' product.
Mike McKay, Divisional Manager Manufacturing for Ferguson Modular said "We are delighted to have been successful with yet another contract for BP. This particular award has been made because of both the blast rating and as a result of our track record on the site, Modupack, is proving to be a very popular product for us as it is ideal for use within refineries and petrochemical plant environments.
Malcolm Adamson, Project Engineer at BP comments "The requirement for suitably designed blast rated facilities on site is key in terms of the safety and welfare of employees working in any onshore petrochemical environment. This new complex will be a welcome addition here on a BP FPS site providing additional accommodation for our Engineering Department."
Mike McKay added, "It is not only the safety benefits and versatility of Modupack which makes it so popular, internally they are also aesthetically pleasing surroundings in which to work. This market leading system provides a reliable and innovative solution suitable for the most demanding onshore accommodation requirements and we are pleased to have seen this continuation in orders for it."
