UKAS accreditation, which is an internationally recognized standard, demonstrates Salamis' competence and integrity in providing testing, certification, inspection and calibration services.
Garry Cruickshank, Inspection Manager at Salamis, said: "Salamis' success in achieving UKAS accreditation so quickly after the establishment of our Inspection and Testing Division is testament to the quality of service we provide and the caliber of personnel in our inspection team.
"Accreditation to this international standard further reinforces our position in the market as a provider of inspection services both independently and as part of a range of integrated services."
Salamis established its Inspection and Testing Division towards the end of last year to complement the multi-disciplined support services and maintenance solutions it provides to international Blue Chip clients in the energy, petrochemical, industrial, and utilities sectors. This followed Salamis' acquisition from MB Inspection Ltd of the personnel and equipment associated with the SORT 4 joint venture, established in 2003 to support the Sigma 3 joint venture servicing Shell's Central & Northern North Sea assets.
A member of the AP Moeller-Maersk group of companies, Salamis is a leading international services contractor with a proven track record in providing integrated, multi-disciplinary support services and maintenance solutions to international Blue Chip clients, principally in the energy, petrochemical, industrial, and utilities sectors.
