Prior to his recent promotion, Watt, 37, served for three years as area manager – Middle East for BJ Tubular Services in Dubai. Since joining BJ Tubular Services in 1992, Watt progressed to the role of Completion Assembly Services operations supervisor and then to the position of operations manager. While working as area manager – Middle East, Watt was responsible for successful development of operations carried out in India, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, as well as new market entries in Oman and Azerbaijan.
Before joining BJ Tubular & Completion Assembly Services, Watt worked for Petroleum Engineering Services in Aberdeen. Initially, Watt was in charge of servicing and running specialized downhole well intervention tools until he was promoted to the position of onshore operations supervisor, responsible for maintaining and servicing customer-owned well intervention tools and the company's rental tools fleet.
A native of Glasgow, Scotland, Watt is based in Aberdeen, Scotland at the division's international headquarters. He replaces Neil Gordon, who was recently promoted to division manager of BJ Tubular & Completion Assembly Services and appointed region manager – Europe & Africa for the Well Services division.
