Marauder Says Dominion J-14 Well a Dry Hole

Marauder Resources East Coast reports the Dominion J-14 well on the Grand Pre block about 150 kilometers offshore Nova Scotia has reached a total depth of 3,700 meters. Initial well analysis has determined that the exploration well did not encounter natural gas-bearing reservoir. The partners, Marauder Resources East Coast Inc and Encana Corporation, are considering drilling a sidetrack well bore to test additional zones in the Abenaki reef margin formation, the location of the Deep Panuke natural gas discovery. If this is done, it could result in the continuation of drilling operations until mid January 2006.

Two of the six successful wells previously drilled into the Deep Panuke natural gas field were sidetracked in order to successfully reach the gas bearing reservoir.
