XPD8 Solutions has been requested to develop and implement a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for the forthcoming build and operation of the Dragon LNG Import Terminal at Milford Haven.
The program of work has been divided into three phases, which are: CMMS design and information gathering; maintenance build; and system deployment. The scope of work will be completed by November 2007.
In a first for XPD8, and possibly the industry, it will be providing an on-site maintenance superintendent who will act as both the MAXIMO system administrator and the site maintenance supervisor. In the latter role, the maintenance superintendent will monitor and report the completion, to schedule, of planned maintenance, inspection and preservation activities scheduled in MAXIMO and oversee the timely close out of any corrective maintenance activities.
Mark Cavanagh, managing director of XPD8, said: "Being awarded this contract expands further our rapidly growing client base and allows us to showcase to WVS our expertise in delivering cost-effective and efficient projects.
"By deploying our own maintenance superintendent we will be able to guarantee the seamless deployment of our system, which allows WVS to concentrate on their core activities.
"Our bespoke software and wealth of strategic maintenance management knowledge ensures our solutions are completely integrated with our clients systems allowing maximum benefit."
XPD8 has a range of oil and gas clients and operates in Aberdeen, Algeria, Azerbaijan, France and Trinidad and Tobago and has a current order book value of £1.9 million.
