Gaz de France Sells Uruguay Interest to Petrobras

Gaz de France announces that it has agreed to dispose of its 51% stake in Gaseba Uruguay to Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras, the Brazilian state-owned oil Company, for a total consideration of 12.8 million dollars, including a 1.8 million dollar shareholder loan held by Gaz de France.

The completion of the transaction is still subject to the fulfillment of certain legal requirements in particular with respect to Gaseba Uruguay's minority shareholders, , and Uruguayan authorities and French government approval.
