Antrim Energy has been informed by Centrica Resources plc (Operator) that drilling operations on the Prometheus well, Block 42/21 in the southern gas basin of the UK North Sea (Antrim carried interest 17.5%), have been completed. An interpretation of the data over the prospective interval indicates that hydrocarbons are not present in commercial quantities and Antrim expects that, following receipt of approvals, the well will be plugged and abandoned. The Prometheus well was drilled at no cost to Antrim.

Antrim's second well ("Clachnaben") of the 2005 three-well drilling program in the UK North Sea is expected to commence drilling before the end of October. The third well in the UK drilling program ("Bennachie") is expected to start drilling in November 2005.

Drilling operations will also commence today on Antrim's 2005 four-well drilling program on the Tierra del Fuego property in Argentina.
