Hercules Offshore Names John Rynd President of Hercules Drilling Co.

Hercules Offshore appointed John T. Rynd as Senior Vice President of Hercules Offshore and as President of Hercules Drilling Company, its wholly owned offshore drilling subsidiary.

John Rynd joins Hercules with over 25 years of drilling industry experience. Most recently, Mr. Rynd was Vice President of Noble Drilling Services Inc., primarily responsible for investor relations for Noble Corporation. Earlier in his career at Noble, he served as Vice President of Marketing and Contracts. Prior to joining Noble, he held management positions at Chiles Offshore and worked for Rowan Drilling Company. A native of Houston, Mr. Rynd is a graduate of Texas A&M University.

Mr. Rynd commented today, "I am truly excited to join Hercules. The company has talented and experienced people, and a history of providing safe and efficient drilling services to our clients."

Mr. Stilley added, "We are all extremely pleased to have John Rynd take the reins as President of Hercules Drilling. His experience with global operations and his reputation in the industry make him the ideal person to lead Hercules Drilling in the future."
