The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate said Friday it has granted oil company Statoil ASA (STO) the right to drill well path 15/3-8 in production license 025.
Production license 025 is located in the North Sea and Statoil ASA is the operator of the field. The well path will be drilled using the Transocean Leader.
The right to drill is conditional upon approval from other relevant authorities, the Petroleum Directorate said.
