Cirrus Energy Begins Drilling in Trinidad
|Tuesday, July 12, 2005
Cirrus Energy reports that the first well in an expected four well program has been spudded in the Coora Field, onshore Trinidad, in which the Company holds a 49% interest. This drilling program is designed to exploit known oil reservoirs which were prematurely abandoned when the field was originally developed about five decades ago. Well locations have been chosen to test multiple, independent, stacked reservoirs with planned well total depths in the range 4,000 to 5,000ft. In addition, these wells will be testing geographically separate pools to provide a broad spread of new data in the field to assist in planning for potential future drilling programs. The first well in the program is expected to reach its planned total depth in less than three weeks.
