Ocean Rig Ends AoC Updates for the Leiv Eiriksson

Ocean Rig, which owns and operates the semisubmersible, Leiv Eiriksson, has informed the PSA in a letter that they do not wish to continue the work of keeping the AoC up-to-date.

The Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) system for mobile drilling facilities was made mandatory from January 1, 2004. This means that such facilities must have an approved AoC before they can operate on the Norwegian Shelf.

The Leiv Eiriksson received its AoC on April 15, 2002. Ocean Rig has returned the AoC documents to the PSA.
