Japan Drilling to Build New Jackup

Japan Drilling Company has placed an order for a new Baker Pacific Class 375 jackup. The rig will be built at PPL Shipyard in Singapore. The jackup will be capable of working in 375 feet of water and will have a rated drilling depth of 30,000 feet. The rig will have accommodation for 120 men. The expected delivery date is February 2008.
