Primeline Awarded Exploration License in Tasmania

The Tasmanian Minister for Infrastructure, Energy and Resources, Bryan Green, will grant a Special Exploration License to Primeline Petroleum Corporation to search for oil and gas over 13,500 square kilometers of northern Tasmania.

Primeline, based in London, holds exploration licenses in China and Canada.

"The company plans to undertake a thorough appraisal of the petroleum prospectivity of northern Tasmania, and will drill an exploratory well in the second year of the license term," Mr. Green said. Primeline has committed to spend at least $530,000 over the next two years on the search.
