OTC.05 Adds Additional Breakfast & Lunch Sessions

Two breakfasts and two Topical Luncheons have been added to the program at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), 2-5 May, at Reliant Center in Houston, Texas. These new sessions will address the developing regions of Libya and Russia, the way in which US companies compete in the global marketplace, and professional ethics requirements.

A total of 12 Topical Luncheons, scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, include presentations and discussions about current and future offshore developments, industry challenges, best practices, new concepts, case studies and future opportunities.

Breakfast, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., Monday, 2 May
Professional Ethics Breakfast
Patricia D. Galloway, Chief Executive Officer, The Nielsen-Wurster Group Inc.

For the first time, OTC offers a breakfast session on Monday morning to satisfy the ethics requirement for the Professional Engineer's license. This breakfast will be presented by Patricia D. Galloway, chief executive officer, The Nielsen-Wurster Group. She will present her views on what ethics is all about and how ethical behavior manifests itself in everyday life. Galloway also will address professional ethics questions facing engineers today in the international offshore arena including licensure, corruption and bribery, and sustainability concepts in engineering projects. Certificates will be distributed at the close of the session.

Director Conlin also discusses the bank's strong partnerships with Sonatrach and other foreign buyers, relationships that help to facilitate the purchase of US goods and services.

US-Libyan Relations
Ambassador Ali Suleiman Aujali, Chief of the Libyan Liaison Office, Washington, DC

The Ambassador will provide an overview of the development of the bilateral relationship between the United States and Libya. This relationship has been developed since Libya opened its borders in 2003. He will discuss past and future factors influencing the political, economical and educational fields.
