Wood Group Appoints Management Personnel in Mexico
Joaquin Obregon has been appointed to the position of operations manager for Wood Group's Engineering and Production Facilities activities, with responsibility for business development and project management for engineering, operations and maintenance activities. During his 14-year career in operations and maintenance, Joaquin has managed a 200-unit gas compression fleet and served as operations superintendent for the Wood Group-managed, US$800million water injection and treatment project on Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela, in Caracas, Venezuela.
Lee Stanley ("Stan") Doggett is serving as operations manager for and providing business development support for Wood Group Logging Services. Stan brings 30 years of industry experience to this position, including international experience in cased hole logging, perforating and pipe recovery operations. He served previously as wireline manager – Venezuela for Tucker Energy Services, as Mexico country manager for Western Atlas/NL McCullough, and Eastern Hemisphere operations manager, based in Aberdeen, Scotland, for NL McCullough. Stan studied electronic technology at the University of Houston.

Wood Group Pressure Control has appointed Rafael Garcia Fonseca to the position of general manager for its activities in Mexico. Rafael has 18 years of industry experience, and was previously employed in sales and service management positions with Vetco Gray de Mexico, O&G ABB Sistemas de México and FIP SA. Luis Galicia has been assigned to the position of field service supervisor at Wood Group Pressure Control's Reynosa Service Center, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Prior to joining Wood Group, Luis was employed by Vetco Gray de Mexico (FIP SA) as field service coordinator and was a service technician for Cameron de Mexico in the Burgos area.
