Jacobs Receives Suncor Turnaround Contract

Jacobs Engineering Group's subsidiary company received a major portion of Suncor Energy's upcoming Upgrader 2 turnaround at Suncor's oil sands facility near Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.

Officials did not disclose the contract value for the turnaround work, which they estimate to exceed 300,000 workhours over an 11-week period.

The scope of work includes equipment, piping, insulating, and scaffolding. Jacobs currently provides ongoing maintenance services at Suncor and other facilities in the Fort McMurray business community.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Greg Landry stated, "We have executed numerous turnarounds for Suncor over the past 30 years and have been providing field services to them continuously since their oil sands plant opened nearly 40 years ago. Suncor is a valued client and we are proud of our history of service to them. We thank them for their continued trust in our performance."
