Antrim Announces Executive Appointments
Antrim Energy announces the appointment of Dr. Gerry Orbell as Chairman of Antrim. Dr. Orbell joined the Board of Directors in October 2002 and has over thirty years of experience in the international oil and gas industry including having served, in an executive capacity, on the boards of Premier Oil plc, Fina Petroleum Development Ltd. and Fina Exploration Ltd. Dr. Orbell will be based in Antrim's London, England office from which he will lead Antrim's growing presence in the UK North Sea.
Antrim is also pleased to announce the appointment, effective immediately, of Dwayne Warkentin as Chief Operating Officer of Antrim. Mr. Warkentin joined Antrim in September 1999 and previously held the position of Vice President, Operations. Mr. Warkentin will be responsible for all technical and operational aspects of Antrim's international exploration and development activities and will continue to be based in Antrim's head office in Calgary, Alberta.
Commenting on the appointments, Stephen Greer, President and Chief Executive Officer said "These appointments reinforce our focus on the United Kingdom and Argentina. We have developed a strong and growing production base and will continue to seek value added properties such as our recently completed oil and gas acquisition in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. In the United Kingdom we have acquired significant interests in several exploration properties and are actively looking for additional oil and gas production acquisitions to compliment our North Sea exploration program."
Antrim also announces the departure, effective immediately, of Mr. Keith
Skipper. Mr. Skipper has been Executive Vice President since July 2000
and Antrim would like to thank Mr. Skipper for his significant
contributions to the company in that time.
