Woodside reports that drilling operations on the Falcone-1A exploration well in the Exmouth Sub-basin have been suspended due to a tropical low located 365 nautical miles from the rig. Operations will resume preparing to drill ahead in 8-1/2 inch hole at a depth of 2,822 meters, once weather conditions improve.

Transocean's semisub, Jack Bates, is drilling the well. The well is approximately 60 kilometers west southwest of the Enfield oil field. Water depth at the location is 1,395 meters.

Joint venture participants in WA-271-P are Woodside Energy Ltd. as operator (60%) and Mitsui E&P Australia Pty Ltd (40%).
