Emerald Bay Completes Q4 Drilling Program

Emerald Bay Energy reports on recent drilling success and provides an update on exploration and development activities.

South Central Alberta

At Twining, the Company has drilled, cased, and cemented its Pekisko test well. The Company is encouraged by the logs and multiple prospective pay zones have been identified. Flow-testing is expected to commence within the next two weeks, with completion and tie-in of the well to commence shortly thereafter.

At Clive, the Company has recently drilled, cased, cemented its second Belly River well. The Company is encouraged by the logs and has identified multiple, prospective pay zones. Flow-testing is expected to commence within the next two weeks, with completion and tie-in of the well to commence shortly thereafter.

The Company continued its CBM pilot program in the Clive area where their first well has been tied into production facilities and production testing has begun. The second CBM well has been cased and cemented, with tie-in and testing slated in Q1 of 2005. Additional CBM development is planned for this area with locations to be determined once production data has been evaluated from the first two wells.

Emerald Bay's geological, engineering and land team continues to evaluate other development and exploration prospects in Alberta and British Columbia.
