Statoil has awarded ABB Offshore Systems a contract for the maintenance and modification of the gas treatment plant at Karsto north of Stavanger, and the Draupner platforms in the North Sea. The contract, valued at NOK 325 million without options, includes design, implementation, verification and reporting of specific maintenance assignments. ABB Offshore Systems has had a similar contract for Karsto and Draupner for the past five years. Initially, the contract will run for five years, with options for three two-year extensions. The contract will be signed at the end of November.
