Kvaerner Oilfield Products Wins Contract from Norsk Hydro

Norsk Hydro has awarded Kvaerner Oilfield Products AS an EPC contract for subsea systems to the Fram Ost project in the North Sea. The contract value is NOK 360 million.

The contract comprises two four-slot templates for a total of seven wells including wellhead systems and Xmas trees as well as control systems.

Fram Ost is located approximately 20 kilometers north of the Troll field at a sea depth of 360 meters. It will be a subsea installation with five oil producers and two wells for water injection tied up to the Troll C platform. Production start up is planned for October 2006.

Partners in the Fram license are Norsk Hydro as operator with 25%; Mobil Development Norway with 25%; Statoil with 20%; Gaz de France Norge with 15%; and Idemitsu Petroleum Norge with 15%.
