Mustang to Provide Engineering for Heartland Gas Pipeline

Mustang Engineering has been selected by Heartland Gas Pipeline LLC to perform the full scope of engineering services on the proposed installation and operation of a 25.2-mile, 16-inch diameter natural gas pipeline in southwestern Indiana.

The new pipeline will allow Heartland to provide gas supply diversification alternatives to Citizens Gas & Coke Utility in Indianapolis and will permit better utilization of the existing underground storage fields and facilities owned by Citizens in Greene County, Indiana.

Services to be provided by Mustang will include project management, engineering design, right-of-way and permit acquisition, environmental permit acquisition, as-built survey, mapping and drafting, procurement and material control, construction management, and construction inspection.

The project is scheduled to be in service November 2005. This award is the result of past project successes by Mustang on various projects for both of Heartland’s majority owners. Heartland is a limited liability corporation jointly owned by ProLiance Transportation & Storage – Heartland, LLC and Citizens By–Products.
