The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has given its consent to Statoil to use the semisub Borgland Dolphin. The rig is to drill and complete four wells, and carry out maintenance work on Tordis and Vigdis.

The fields Tordis and Vigdis are located in the northern North Sea, between Snorre and Gullfaks.

The work planned on Tordis is drilling and completion of a water injector, 34/7-K-5H.

On Vigdis, the well 34/7-F-3H will be recompleted. This well has a leak from the production flowline to the annulus.

There are also plans to drill and complete the oil producer 34/7-D-4H and the water injector 34/7-F-4H.

Maintenance work on other wells will be carried out as required.

The activities will be carried out in the period between November 1, 2004 to December 31, 2005.

The consent is an extension of a formerly given consent to the use of the Borgland Dolphin.
