Energas Hits Second Well in Kansas

Energas Resources reports that drilling of the second Carothers well in the Rock Creek Prospect, Kansas, has reached total depth. The operator reported a good show of natural gas through the Mississippi Chert zone around 4,450 feet. Electric logs have confirmed the presence of natural gas pay in this zone. Production casing has been set and the operator is scheduling a rig for completion. Testing results will be announced upon receipt of the operators report. This well is an offset to the successful Carothers #1 well that is now on production.

In Kentucky, Energas reports that 9 wells have now been drilled in the Bluegrass drilling program. The field superintendent has reported that natural gas flows and pressures have been consistent with the previously announced wells drilled in the field. Production rates will be announced when testing is completed. Drilling is still ongoing at this time.
