UK-based oilfield services company HTL Group is taking on a new cycling challenge this summer to raise money for its adopted charity, Jessica’s Sarcoma Awareness.

The two day challenge will see participants cover a distance of 100 miles through the rolling roads of Northumberland, with the trip beginning at HTL’s headquarters in Cramlington and finishing at Alnwick on day one, before returning to Cramlington on day two.

The local charity was set up by the family of Jessica Robson who sadly lost her battle to a rare form of cancer, Alveolar Sarcoma, at the age of 18. The charity supports children fighting cancer by aspiring to achieve Jessica’s dream of building a respite lodge for families and children battling the disease.

Each cyclist has a sponsorship target of GBP 100, although 2015 and 2016 cycle challenge participants exceeded expectations and beat their targets.

“For the last three years, these guys have come together to raise funds and awareness for Jessica’s charity and every year the team and support gets bigger. Long may it continue,” Julie, Trevor and Nicole Robson said in a joint statement.
