Transneft Says 2Q Oil Supplies To Belarus Revised Down To 5 Million Tonnes

Reuters

MOSCOW, April 14 (Reuters) - Russia will supply 5 million tonnes of oil to Belarus in the second quarter, down from the 6 million tonnes seen previously, Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft said on Friday.

It also said that oil flows to Belarus were still expected at 24 million tonnes in 2017 after a broader deal with the ex-Soviet state was reached earlier this month.

Supplies in the second half of the year are seen at 15 million tonnes.

Industry sources told Reuters that oil supplies to Belarus will be increased at the expense of the Baltic Sea port of Primorsk, Russia's biggest sea outlet for oil exports.

Cuts of oil exports from Primorsk were announced earlier: Russia will reduce Urals oil exports from the port by around 12 percent to 44 million tonnes (884,000 barrels per day) this year due to using some of the pipeline capacity for shipments of diesel.

Russia's top oil producer Rosneft, including Bashneft it gained control of last year, received an allocation for additional 450,000 tonnes of oil for Belarus in the second quarter, industry sources told Reuters.

Lukoil and Surgutneftegaz got allocations of 150,000 tonnes each, Gazprom Neft - 100,000 tonnes.

Around 150,000 tonnes of supplies will be shared by Tatneft , Zarubezhneft, Russneft and Neftisa.

Russian companies will be able to raise oil flows to Belarus starting from the second half of April.
