Wood Group's Brazilian Staff to Provide Engineering Services for Echidna

Wood Group’s Rio de Janeiro office will provide engineering services to Karoon Petróleo & Gás to support the development of the Echidna field, offshore Brazil, after winning a multi-year contract.

The company’s staff in Rio de Janeiro will focus on the technical requirements of a floating production unit (FPU) and subsea structures, as well as all bid package evaluations.

“Our ability to deliver local world-class design capabilities with a range of available tools and software made Wood Group a partner of choice for the field development project,” Hugues Corrignan, managing director of Wood Group Brazil’s office, said in a company statement.

“Wood Group’s competitive bid provided an excellent opportunity for both companies to establish a mutually rewarding partnership for current and future development,” Corrignan added.
