Imagine that it's your first day as a rookie drilling engineer, or as a chemical engineer or control room technician at a refinery. Sure, after years of hard work you've earned your college degree but now it's time to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.
Do you remember your first day in the oil and gas industry, working in the above or any number of other roles? Can you recall some of the questions racing through your head, particularly those of a technical nature? Are there any technical questions you frequently hear from oil and gas newcomers with whom you work?
We at Rigzone want to know what some of those questions are. We're assembling a list of common technical questions that new entrants to the oil and gas industry might ask, and we need your input.
Please share some simple, easily answered technical questions that you've heard from industry rookies. Send them in an email to Matthew Veazey, Rigzone Senior Editor, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure that "O&G NEWBIE QUESTIONS" appears in the subject line.
What are we going to do with these questions? Stay tuned!
